Welcome to Aloisio Brazilian BBQ Catering!

 Aloisio Brazilian BBQ Catering is a family owned and operated business. Alana & Aloiso certainly understand having a busy lifestyle, with five children between them, they have catered so many weddings there has been no time for their own 16 years later!

Aloisio learnt how to perfect BBQ food from his father. They had a tradition of cooking up a BBQ storm every Sunday. When Aloisio arrived in New Zealand in 2000 he couldn’t cook an egg to save himself- but boy did he know how to BBQ!

 Aloisio grew up in Minas Gerais- Brazil. He is well known as a ‘mineiro’ and the soccer team he supports is Corinthians, but he prefers rugby. Must be New Zealand rubbing off on him.

 Missing the Sunday tradition of the backyard BBQ from home, we started to do them here in New Zealand. It started off as just family. Then family and friends. Then neighbours…Then the neighbourhood! It turned into a mini part every Sunday. The smell was just too good to resit it seems!

 Aloisio knew he was on to a winner. He just had to turn his passionate for amazing food into a business. They say if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life!

 With thanks to Brian Aloisio’s father in law the first BBQ was born. This was crafted out of a Isuzu truck rim! Not long after, the first Brazilian BBQ gig happened within a secret garden inner city venue. The first gig we somehow managed to pull off a miracle cooking for 30 hungry customers on our makeshift rim! Over the years we have grown with the capability to feed up to 1000 people in a day! That’s a lot of BBQ!

 The partnership between the two works well. Alana had been working in management since the young age of 20. She managed some large Auckland establiments in the hospitality sector, before shifting to management in the print industry managing a large team. Therefore, you be sure all your I’s will be dotted and your T’s crossed. They make a great team.

 Alana often finds herself going above and beyond at weddings or other events even when not commissioned because she cares about your over all day. Alana always strives to give her clients the best full experience possible.

 At BBQ Catering, we like to do things a bit different around here. There are no set menus. We prefer create a custom menu to suit budget and requirements. We take the time look at your event and even your movements before and after to

enable us to provide right amount of food for all your guests. Even with a bit left over. Because who doesn’t like leftovers right!

 We pride ourselves on being family owned and operated. We love to be hands on, interactive, informative, helpful, friendly and fun at all events! Food that creates atmosphere really is our thing.

 Our newest venture is a food truck journey that has nearly sent Alana into an early grave. Check her out “Minerio Mineiro” Brazilian food truck. She is a super cool Daf 400 which is a old Ambulance.
